What this service is

Care Commons is a free public directory that helps people in India find doctors and see indicative consultation fees. It does not book appointments, take payments, give medical advice or keep health records. You do not need an account to search.

Searching the directory

Searches are read from the public listings. To understand how the directory is used, we record a limited analytics event for a search, a result click or a profile view. A search event keeps only recognised public professional terms such as a specialty or city; any other typed text is redacted. Events use a random per-search identifier. They are not used to follow or profile individual people.

City requests and doctor corrections

You can request coverage for a missing city or report an incorrect public location, consultation fee or qualification without signing in. We store the city, the relevant doctor reference, your suggested correction and explanation, a submission reference, and the administrator review outcome. These reports are private to administrators and do not update listings automatically. We do not ask for your name or contact details. Do not include patient information, medical histories or personal contact details in a report. Basic rate limits help prevent submission abuse.

Optional Search near me

Nearby search is opt-in. Your browser asks for location permission only after you press the Search near me button. While this mode is on, your coordinates are sent in the body of each nearby-search request, including when you change the radius, filters or page, to calculate distances to doctors with a saved clinic location.

• Your coordinates are not stored in our database or analytics.
• They are not saved in browser storage or placed in the page address.
• They are held in memory for the active search. Stop nearby search clears the active location; leaving the page ends its use.
• Distances are approximate straight-line figures, not travel time.

You can decline permission and search by city instead.

Doctor and clinic information

Listings show public professional and clinic information such as name, specialty, clinic address, phone, indicative fee and, for nearby search, the clinic location. This is information about practices as listed, not about patients.

Administrators

A small number of administrators sign in through Clerk to manage listings. Signing in uses cookies and local authentication state in the browser. Administrative changes are recorded in audit logs so that edits can be traced.

Service providers and security

Hosting and authentication providers process ordinary technical request information needed to run and secure the service. Request details and temporary IP-based rate limits help prevent misuse. Our application request logs exclude query strings and request bodies, including nearby coordinates.

Doctor photos may load from external image hosts, which receive ordinary image-request information. Your browser controls location permissions; you can revoke a remembered permission in its settings.

What we do not collect

• We do not ask customers to submit symptoms or medical records. Do not enter sensitive health details in search.
• No customer accounts or payment details are required.

Contact and changes

Operator and contact details are pending and will be published after legal review. We have not stated a retention period or claimed compliance with any specific law in this draft. This policy may change; see also our Terms & Conditions.
